Maintenance Technician / Mechanic, Building Maintenance
About the Role
Please note that this is a full‑time role working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday.
HC‑One are looking for a Maintenance Operative with solid experience in maintenance, building, DIY, cleaning and housekeeping. You’ll also need technical knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, as well as ideally some IT skills. Whenever you communicate with a resident or co‑worker, you’ll be truly considerate and kind.
As a Maintenance Operative, you’ll make sure our residents live in a place that’s proactively inspected and brilliantly maintained at all times. You’ll carry out audits and keep records up to date. Whether you’re replacing a tap or mixer valve, fitting a new extractor fan, repairing timber on a bedroom window or putting up new wallpaper in the dining room, you’ll do so with a sense of kindness above everything else.
Safeguarding is everyone’s responsibility, and therefore it is important that you are able to recognise the signs which may indicate possible abuse, harm or neglect in its different forms and know what to do if there are any concerns. All colleagues are required to attend safeguarding training appropriate to their role, undertake additional training in associated areas, seek appropriate advice and report concerns, including escalation if action is not taken.
BenefitsWe’ll provide full training, so it’s a great opportunity to learn something new. In return, you will enjoy access to a huge variety of benefits and services to support your physical and psychological well‑being throughout your career as a Maintenance Operative.
