Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and motivated Production Operative (Extrusion Earlies) to join our dynamic team.

Key Responsibilities

Ensuring compliance with the Company Environmental, Health, Safety and Sustainability Policies, reporting any potentially dangerous issues/faults to your direct Team Leader or Production Manager including but not limited to maintaining a safe and clean work environment.

To ensure quality products are produced in the required quantity, on time, and at the lowest possible cost, in a manner in keeping with the Quality, Safety, Health and Environmental policies and procedures of the company.

Demonstrate a positive attitude to training and personal development.

Monitor the performance of the process ensuring maximum output is achieved at all times.

Carry out and document the correct quality control checks for each job performed, completing all production paperwork.

Work as a team to ensure departmental targets, company targets and customer deadlines are achieved.

What you’ll be doing
  • Adhere to correct procedures
  • Ensure that all documentation is completed at the correct time
  • Adhere to safe working practices at all times.
  • To perform the necessary safety checks to ensure the integrity and effectiveness of the department and to operate in a manner conversant with the training given
  • Ensure adherence to 5S in the department
  • Transfer to other areas of the department as and when requested
  • Ensure that the department’s machines are kept in good working condition. Report any major maintenance issues immediately
  • Responsibility to ensure compliance with the Health & Safety at Work etc. Act 1974 and Regulations made under that Act which are relevant to site activities.
  • Ensuring compliance with the Company Safety, Health and Environmental Policies.
  • Ensure all PPE is worn at all times where applicable.
  • Ensure that the department’s machines are kept in good working condition
  • The Extrusion of PTFE and/or other materials
  • Work is mainly manual handling, some of which is heavy.
Skills/Experience Qualifications
  • Good level of numeracy and general education
  • Basic knowledge of computers
Experience
  • Manufacturing background and understanding of manufacturing process
  • Self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and have a keen eye for detail
  • Focused on target completion and proven ability to achieve results
Behaviours
  • Must possess a positive working attitude
  • Ability to work well as part of team and communicate with other workers
  • The ideal candidate for this role will be a self-motivated individual with a strong work ethic and have a keen eye for detail
