ome Surgery is looking for an enthusiastic, patient focused and independently motivated Registered Nurse Associate to join our friendly team.

Youwill be an experienced Nurse Associate who is comfortable working independently but under the leadership of our Registered Nurse, supporting with all aspectsof nursing care and improving on the safety and quality of patient care atevery opportunity.

Weare seeking an individual who is passionate about directly improving patient care and delivering high quality care to a wide range of patients.

Youshould be patient-focused, independently motivated, and possess good communication and interpersonal skills.

Youwill ideally be an experienced Nurse Associate; however, a newly qualified Nurse Associate would be considered with the right motivation, drive and willingness tolearn and develop.

Main duties of the job

Main duties of the role will include but not be limited to;

  • Assisting and performing routine nursing tasks related to patient care.
  • Support patients to improve and maintain their mental, physical, behavioural health and wellbeing by using behaviour change interventions.
  • Following training and competency assessment, to undertake adult and child NHS immunisation programmes and cervical screening.
  • Tobe competent in venepuncture, ECGs and other diagnostic tests. Training will beoffered if required.
  • Tobe competent in wound care management. Training will be offered if required.
  • Tosupport chronic disease management.
  • Toprovide general health promotion and NHS Health checks.
  • Chaperone and assist patients where appropriate who are being examined byanother clinician.
  • Tobe able to perform Cardio-pulmonary resuscitation (BLS) and the correct use of Automated Defibrillator following training, according to the current UK Resuscitation Council guidelines.
  • To participate in developments within the practice / network and support QOF / DESrequirements.

We are a friendly practice that strives to provide high quality patient care for our 5900 patients whilst also protecting out staffs well-being. We have 1 GP Partner, 2 salaried GP's and some regular GP locums. A nursing team of 1 Practice Nurse and 2 HCA's and have a non-clinical team of 12.

We are part of our local PCN and work closely with our other member practices and have access to multiple other staffing types from practice pharmacists, social prescribers, first contract practitioners and mental health support workers.

We are a training practice so are very training orientated and happy to support and develop the right people to help them grow in their roles.

We are a supportive team with a passion from providing first class health case, striving to provide the best service we can to our practice population.

It can be demanding at times but equally very rewarding.

Job responsibilities

Job Summary As Nurse Associate, you will be working as part of a multi-disciplinary team to monitor care under direct or indirect supervision, using a wide range of skills you have including (but not limited to), compliment the role of the GP and other Health Professionals make the best use of clinical skills within the practice to promote well-being and maximise health gain for patients.provide

a safe, high quality and accessible treatment room service to patients.

As the Nurse Associate you will act within your professional boundaries, providing care for patients from initial history taking, clinical assessment, diagnosis, treatment and evaluation of their care under the supervision of a GP.You will show safe clinical decision-making and expert care for patients within the general practice, in consultation with the duty GP. You will work with the multi-disciplinary general practice team to support the delivery of policy and procedures and meet the needs of patients.

Supervision and mentoring will be provided by the appropriate senior medical staff - the type of support will depend on the post holders skills and knowledge and determined by our clinical governance arrangements.
