If you have a strong eye for detail, experience in mechanical inspection, and enjoy working in a hands‑on engineering environment, this is an excellent opportunity to join a stable and respected business.
The Role
As a Quality Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring that all manufactured and supplied components meet specification and quality requirements. Your duties will include:
* Conducting detailed inspection of components, including first‑off, sample, and final inspection
* Performing goods‑inward inspection of all subcontracted/outwork items
* Verifying that raw material deliveries comply with purchase order requirements
* Ensuring all measuring equipment, gauges, and inspection tools are calibrated and maintained in line with company procedures
* Recording defects and non‑conformities, reporting issues to the relevant departments
* Checking that material certification meets both purchase order requirements and internal quality system standards
* Identifying and reporting quality trends to support continuous improvement
* Ensuring clear and effective communication across all levels of the business
* Providing cover for other Inspectors when required
* Delivering in‑house training to support quality awareness and best practice
