Management Accountant

Position: Management Accountant (Permanent)
Axon Moore is delighted to be exclusively recruiting a Management Accountant role for a leading, international business based in Hull.

As a Management Accountant, you will be a vital part of the finance team, reporting to the Group Finance Controller. You’ll take ownership of producing accurate, timely financial information and supporting the business with meaningful analysis that drives performance.

Responsibilities:

Prepare full monthly management accounts, including P&L, balance sheet, and cashflow forecasting.
Deliver detailed variance analysis, explaining movements against budget, forecast, and prior periods.
Reconcile balance sheet accounts, ensuring accuracy, compliance, and robust supporting documentation.
Analyse overheads, margins, and cost drivers, providing insight to support operational decision‑making.
Support the month‑end close process, including accruals, prepayments, journals, and intercompany reconciliations.
Track and report on capital expenditure, depreciation, and project performance.
Partner with operational teams to enhance financial understanding and promote accountability across the business.

Skills & Experience

Finalist or newly qualified accountant (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent).
Experience in producing management accounts
Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.
Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and communication abilities
