Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician
Hull | £46,700 (including shift premium)
Permanent | 3-shift rotational (Days, Lates & Nights)
Travis Talent is proud to partner with a long-established, world-class manufacturer in Hull seeking to add a talented Multi-Skilled Maintenance Technician to their high-performing engineering team.
This is an opportunity for a proven engineer who thrives in a fast-paced, highly automated production environment to take ownership of machinery reliability, drive efficiency, and play a key role in continuous improvement.
Shift Pattern:
You’ll rotate across the following shift system:
* Days: 7:00am – 3:00pm (Monday to Thursday) / 7:00am – 12:30pm (Friday)
* Lates: 3:00pm – 11:00pm (Monday to Thursday) / 12:30pm – 6:00pm (Friday)
* Nights: 11:00pm – 7:00am (Monday to Thursday) / 6:00pm – 11:30pm (Friday)
Salary is £41,812.54 for day shifts only, rising to £46,725.51 on a rotational pattern.
The Role:
Working as part of a close-knit maintenance team, you will:
* Provide electrical and mechanical support across automated production lines
* Respond to breakdowns efficiently, driving root cause analysis and preventative solutions
* Contribute to PPM, improvement projects, and installation of new machinery
* Champion high safety, quality, and performance standards on every shift
What You’ll Bring :
* Time-served apprenticeship with NVQ Level 3 in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
* Experience maintaining complex manufacturing or process equipment
* Confident fault-finding skills across electrical, mechanical, and ideally PLC systems (Siemens or Allen Bradley)
* A proactive mindset – someone who takes ownership, thinks on their feet, and never settles for “that’ll do”
The Right Fit:
This isn’t a role for someone who just fixes what’s broken.
It’s for an engineer who anticipates issues, improves systems, and takes pride in keeping a modern manufacturing operation running at its best.
If you enjoy autonomy, variety, and being part of a high-performing engineering culture, you’ll thrive here
