School Business Manager - Hungerford Nursery School

West Berkshire Council is seeking a School Business Manager to join our team.

24 hours per week, term time only, plus 5 days during holiday periods to be determined by the Headteacher.

Salary range: £30,024 - £36,363 FTE (depending on experience)

Start date:

1st May 2026

The role is a key leadership position, working in partnership with the Headteacher to ensure the smooth running of our nursery school’s business operations. You will share responsibility for all aspects of finance and administration and will take the lead on specific areas including:

• Financial Resource Management
• Administration Management
• ICT and Management Communication Systems
• HR Management
• Health and Safety
• Safeguarding
• Facility and Property Management

We are looking for someone who is confident, organised, and able to work strategically, whilst also managing a small administration team and supporting day to day operations.
