Senior DevSecOps Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Dev Sec Ops  Engineer to support secure automation, CI/CD pipeline development, and cloud infrastructure modernization initiatives for a mission-critical federal program in Huntsville, AL
. The Senior Dev Sec Ops  Engineer will design and optimize automated deployment pipelines, implement infrastructure-as-code solutions, and integrate security controls across AWS and on-premises environments.
This position will be fully onsite in Huntsville, AL and requires an active Top Secret clearance!

Responsibilities of the Senior Dev Sec Ops  Engineer:

• Design, develop, and optimize CI/CD pipelines supporting automated builds, testing, security scanning, and application deployments
• Implement secure Dev Sec Ops  practices, including dependency management, artifact control, vulnerability scanning, and automated compliance validation
• Develop and maintain infrastructure-as-code (IaC) solutions using Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, or similar technologies
• Automate cloud infrastructure provisioning, configuration management, and deployment workflows
• Support containerized application deployments and orchestration using Docker and Kubernetes
• Integrate security gates, code quality checks, and vulnerability scanning tools into CI/CD pipelines
• Implement logging, monitoring, and alerting capabilities across AWS and hybrid cloud environments
• Manage source control repositories, branching strategies, versioning, and build automation processes
• Troubleshoot deployment failures, pipeline issues, infrastructure instability, and automation errors
• Collaborate with Full Stack Developers, Cloud Engineers, QA Automation Engineers, and Data Engineering teams to support application modernization
• Participate in Agile development activities, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, technical design reviews, and integration testing
• Monitor pipeline performance, improve deployment reliability, and identify opportunities to reduce manual processes
• Develop and maintain CI/CD documentation, infrastructure templates, deployment procedures, and compliance artifacts
• Support major application releases, deployment readiness assessments, and ongoing infrastructure optimization

Qualifications for the Senior Dev Sec Ops  Engineer:

• Active Top Secret clearance
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related discipline
• 8+ years of experience in Dev Sec Ops , Dev Ops engineering, CI/CD pipeline development, or infrastructure automation
• Strong hands-on experience designing, developing, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines using Git Lab CI, Jenkins, Git Hub Actions, or similar platforms
• Experience implementing infrastructure-as-code using Terraform, AWS Cloud Formation, or comparable technologies
• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, containerization, and orchestration
• Strong understanding of AWS cloud infrastructure, cloud automation, and secure application deployment practices
• Experience with configuration management, environment provisioning, and automated deployment workflows
• Knowledge of secure software development practices, automated security scanning, and vulnerability remediation
• Experience troubleshooting CI/CD pipelines, deployment issues, and cloud infrastructure environments
• Familiarity with Git, source control management, branching strategies, and build automation

Compensation for the Senior Dev Sec Ops  Engineer includes:

• Salary: $170,000 - $190,000
