Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced Pediatric Intensivist to manage critically ill pediatric patients in a state-of-the-art Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU). The role requires strong clinical expertise, leadership in critical care, and a patient-centric approach to delivering high-quality outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Care
Provide comprehensive critical care management for pediatric patients admitted to the PICU.
Perform advanced life support, ventilation management, invasive and non-invasive procedures.
Lead and coordinate multidisciplinary PICU rounds.
Manage emergency pediatric cases and stabilize critically ill children.
Ensure evidence-based treatment protocols and best clinical practices.
PICU Operations & Quality
Oversee day-to-day functioning of the PICU.
Ensure adherence to NABH/JCI patient safety and infection control standards.
Participate in audits, mortality & morbidity meetings, and quality improvement initiatives.
Maintain accurate and timely medical documentation.
Coordination & Communication
Coordinate with pediatric subspecialists, neonatology, anesthesia, emergency, and nursing teams.
Communicate clearly and empathetically with parents and families regarding patient condition and treatment plans.
Support smooth transition of care from ER to PICU and from PICU to ward/discharge.
Academic & Teaching
Train and mentor junior doctors, residents, and nursing staff.
Participate in CMEs, clinical discussions, and protocol development.
Stay updated with advancements in pediatric critical care.
