We are looking for an experienced Senior Database Administrator (DBA) to design, manage, and optimize complex database environments that support critical business operations. This role requires deep technical expertise, strong problem-solving skills, and the ability to collaborate across global teams.

Key Responsibilities

Database Design & Management

- Design, implement, and maintain complex database systems, including schema design and capacity planning
- Ensure database architecture aligns with business needs for scalability, performance, and reliability
- Configure and manage clustering, replication, and high-availability solutions

Database Performance Tuning

- Monitor and optimize database performance
- Perform query optimization, index management, and server tuning

Data Security & Compliance

- Implement database security policies, access controls, and encryption
- Ensure compliance with data privacy regulations and internal security standards
- Conduct regular audits and vulnerability assessments

Backup, Recovery & DR

- Design and implement backup and disaster recovery strategies
- Ensure reliable backups and perform regular recovery testing

Troubleshooting & Support

- Diagnose and resolve database performance, access, and utilization issues
- Provide database support to developers, analysts, and stakeholders

Upgrades & Maintenance

- Plan and execute database upgrades, patches, and migrations with minimal downtime
- Stay current with database technologies and recommend enhancements

Documentation & Governance

- Maintain detailed documentation of database environments and procedures
- Create and update knowledge bases and troubleshooting guides

Collaboration

- Work closely with IT teams, developers, and business partners
- Participate in cross-functional projects and deliver solutions on time and within budget

Required

Skills & Qualifications

- Extensive experience with SQL Server database management
- Strong proficiency in SQL and scripting (Power Shell, Bash)
- Expertise in backup, recovery, replication, and high-availability solutions
- Proven experience in database performance tuning and automation
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
- Comfortable communicating with SMEs, senior engineers, and leadership

⭐ Nice to Have

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, MIS, or related field (or equivalent experience)

- Experience with Oracle, MySQL, Postgre

SQL, or No

SQL databases (Mongo

DB, Cassandra)
- Exposure to cloud platforms (AWS, Azure)
- Familiarity with ETL tools (Informatica, Boomi, Mule Soft)

- Experience with reporting/BI tools (Power BI, Tableau)
- Relevant certifications (Microsoft Azure DBA, Oracle DBA, etc.)
