Job Description:
Experience with Performance Tuning and Optimization (PTO)
Experience with backups, restores and recovery models
Experience of High Availability (HA) and Disaster Recovery (DR) options for SQL Server
Should be able to support Azure PAAS databases like Azure SQL, Managed instance, Postgre SQL, Oracle cloud.
Migration of SQL data from MS SQL server to Azure SQL using Data migration tool
Should be able to troubleshoot database connection issues regarding Server firewall, proxy and other networking issues
Experience in Scripting using sql cmd and Power Shell
Automation of sql server activities and alerts configuration.
Good experience in always on (Fail over) and cluster failover.
Good understanding of azure networking
Configure and maintaining of SQL DB pools
Check for software updates (Patches)/vulnerabilities reported by Security team and apply Patches as necessary
Backup and restore
Monitoring SQL server resources with help of perfmon, task manager and DMVs
Performance tuning and resolving system performance issues
Code Deployments
DB refresh /Disk Cloning activites
SQL jobs Scheduling
