Role Overview
The Technical Business Analyst will act as a bridge between business stakeholders and the engineering teams, driving end-to-end requirements analysis, process mapping, solution detailing, and functional readiness for delivery. The role demands strong technical depth, hands-on experience with APIs/microservices, and the ability to translate business needs into clear, implementable user stories and acceptance criteria.
Key Responsibilities
Requirements & Analysis
Conduct detailed discovery workshops, process walkthroughs, and functional deep dives
Gather, analyze, and document business, functional, and non-functional requirements
Create BRDs, FRDs, process flows, data flow diagrams, and domain models
Define epics, user stories, acceptance criteria , and maintain backlog in Azure Dev Ops / Jira
Technical Enablement
Understand and translate technical concepts across APIs, microservices, data models, and integrations
Work closely with architects to validate solution feasibility and alignment
Support API design — request/response structures, payload mapping, sequencing, and error handling
Collaborate with UI/UX for wireframes, journey maps, and behaviour rules
Cross-Functional Collaboration
Act as the primary liaison between business users, product owners, architects, and development teams
Drive clarification sessions and sign-off cycles
Support sprint planning, grooming, and readiness checkpoints
Manage change requests and maintain traceability across lifecycle
Testing & Quality
Define UAT scenarios, test data , and support execution
Validate functional completeness against signed-off requirements
Ensure defects are triaged, prioritized, and closed before releases
Documentation & Governance
Maintain updated requirement baselines and version control
Support audit/compliance needs and impact assessments
Provide weekly progress, risk, and dependency updates
Required
Skills & Qualifications
4 – 6 years of BA experience with minimum 2+ years in technical / digital platforms
Strong understanding of:
REST APIs, Postman, JSON, Swagger/OpenAPI
Microservices, integration patterns
Data models, SQL basics, ETL concepts
Hands-on proficiency with Azure Dev Ops / Jira / Confluence
Ability to create process flows (BPMN), UML, sequence diagrams
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and documentation skills
Preferred / Nice-to-Have
Experience in telecom, CRM, customer portals, BI/analytics, or workflow platforms
Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure/AWS)
Understanding of design systems and UI behaviour guidelines
Certification: CBAP / CCBA / CSPO / SAFe (optional)
