All positions within Funeral care may involve direct physical contact with the deceased. Typical duties include preparation, transportation, and personal care of the deceased carried out with professionalism, dignity, and adherence to health and safety standards. Consider your comfort levels with these responsibilities before applying.
Responsibilities- Make sure everything and everyone is in the right place at the right time to deliver funerals, including respectful transfer of the deceased, preparation of the coffin, whereabouts of vehicles, and more.
- Engage all necessary colleagues effectively, empowering them and acting as a point of escalation for logistical problems.
- Coach and develop a team of funeral service operatives, drivers and embalmers.
- Continuously review and improve the logistics operation across your area.
- Inspirational leadership skills and a real passion for delivering the best possible client service.
- High attention to detail, experience working in a fast‑paced environment, handling many tasks simultaneously.
- Confidence using both IT systems and manual methods of managing logistics.
- Ability to think on your feet while remaining compassionate and empathetic.
- Capability to perform lifting and manual handling.
- Driver’s license and flexibility to travel.
