We have an exciting opportunity for a Manufacturing Cost & Pricing Analyst to join our team. The role ensures accuracy and consistency of product costing and pricing across the Wicksteed Leisure portfolio. Working closely with Finance, Operations, Engineering and Procurement, the analyst supports cost accuracy, competitive supplier pricing and commercially sound decision‑making to drive profitability and sustain Wicksteed’s competitive advantage.
Responsibilities• Update costing records promptly following design changes, supplier updates or operational improvements.
• Support Sales and Finance with cost‑based pricing recommendations and margin analysis.
• Provide clear, concise costing reports to management.
• Benchmark material and component costs with Procurement and Operations.
• Support supplier negotiations through cost breakdowns, alternative material analysis and price‑comparison data.
• Identify opportunities for cost reduction, supplier consolidation or improved commercial terms.
• Prepare gross margin reviews and product profitability reporting.
• Support new product development with forecast costing and margin analysis.
• Review BOMs for consistency and accuracy; maintain costs and pricing in Quotewerks; validate time standards and labour inputs.; collaborate with Production and Operations to keep BOMs accurate and engineering updates current.
• Manage workload independently, meet deadlines, and drive continuous improvement in costing processes, documentation and controls.
• Act as the key point of contact for costing queries across departments.
- Background in finance, commercial analysis, costing or similar within a manufacturing organisation.
- Comfortable analysing large amounts of data across products and product groups.
- Strong Excel skills and keen eye for detail.
- Confident communicator across multiple teams.
- Commercially minded with a proactive, organised approach.
- Experience in manufacturing/engineering, ERP/MRP – preferably Sage
200.
