Laser Operator

Overview
We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Laser Operator to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of sheet metal fabrication and be proficient in operating laser cutting machines. This role requires mechanical knowledge and the ability to work with various hand tools to ensure precision in manufacturing processes. As a Laser Operator, you will play a crucial role in producing high-quality components that meet our clients’ specifications.

Responsibilities

• Operate laser cutting machines to produce components from sheet metal according to technical drawings and specifications.
• Set up and adjust machine parameters for optimal performance and quality output.
• Conduct routine maintenance on laser equipment to ensure efficient operation and minimise downtime.
• Use hand tools for assembly, fabrication, and welding of components as required.
• Perform quality checks on finished products to ensure compliance with standards.
• Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot any issues that arise during the production process.
• Maintain a clean and organised workspace, adhering to safety protocols at all times.

Requirements

• Proven experience in operating laser cutting machines or similar equipment is preferred.
• Strong mechanical knowledge with the ability to understand technical drawings and specifications.
• Proficiency in using hand tools for assembly, welding, and fabrication tasks.
• Basic maths skills for measurement and calculation purposes.
• Familiarity with tooling processes and grinding techniques is advantageous.
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team while also demonstrating initiative when required.
• Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
