Port Plant Driver - Bulk Bagging

Hours:

12 hour shifts

Salary:
Paid per tonne - the more you bag, the more you earn. (Can be up to £25 per hour)

We are currently seeking an experienced and reliable Port Plant Driver to join our operations team at a busy bulk bagging terminal. This is a hands-on role within a fast-paced port environment, supporting the safe and efficient movement and bagging of bulk materials.

Key Responsibilities:

Operating port plant equipment (e.g. forklifts B2, Loading shovels, loaders) within the bulk bagging terminal
Loading, unloading, and moving bulk materials and bagged products
Assisting with bulk bagging operations, including positioning bags and monitoring filling processes
Carrying out daily plant checks and basic maintenance
Working in accordance with site safety procedures, port regulations, and risk assessments
Maintaining high standards of housekeeping within the terminal
Supporting other operational duties as required

Requirements:

Valid- expired plant operator tickets (e.g. FLT, shovel, or equivalent)
Valid UKDL
Previous experience in a port, terminal, or industrial environment preferred
Strong awareness of health and safety procedures
Ability to work shifts, including nights and weekends if required
Good communication skills and a team-focused attitude

Desirable:

Experience in bulk bagging or bulk cargo handling
Valid Forklift licence
Valid loading shovel licence
Previous heavy plant experience
