Overview
This role is core technology centric role. This role will oversee Engineering activities for the Pepsi Co's Global Disaster Recovery Program for several sectors and deliver our DR services to safeguard our Production Data Centers according to Sector's needs. The individual will operate within a diverse team located across the globe and coordinate closely with our Infrastructure, Storage, Network Application, and Sectors teams to manage DR patterns, design considerations, DR Strategy , data replication enrolments and execute planned DR testing events to prove our readiness to respond to disasters, side by side with our Managed Service Providers.
Responsibilities
DR Engineer will be responsible of coordinate DR program activities starting from DR onboarding, deisgn go through, define best practise, DR readiness technoly enablements, data replication, orchestration, Backup-recovery details etc ,. Coordinate DR activities with our Managed service providers according to contractual definitions,. Lead engagements with Infrastructure, Sector, and Application teams to address DR gaps and needs for DR replication, DR Plans and DR tests exercises readiness activities, prior to Test dates according to DR methodologies.
