About the Role
We're seeking an exceptional content writer with immigration law expertise (preferably) to craft high-stakes documentation for EB-1A petitions. You'll work directly with attorneys, clients, and research teams to develop evidence packages that demonstrate 'original contributions of major significance' and other EB-1A criteria under 8 C.F.R. § 204.5(h)(3). You will serve as a key contributor across multiple teams, ensuring client satisfaction, timely delivery, and continuous process improvement.
What You Will Do
Documentation Development
Write persuasive cover letters and supporting narratives that translate technical achievements into legally compelling evidence
Develop comprehensive response documents addressing attorney feedback and USCIS requirements
Create a detailed analysis connecting clients' work to the field-wide impact beyond individual employers
Draft media evidence connection blurbs that link independent coverage to EB-1A criteria
Research & Analysis
Analyse patent citations, industry adoption metrics, and third-party validation sources
Review technical documentation and translate complex innovations into clear impact statements
Identify and document objective, verifiable evidence of extraordinary ability
Research industry standards and competitive landscape to contextualise achievements
Client Collaboration
Complete project intake forms and innovation intake forms with technical precision
Work with clients to extract and document qualifying achievements
Collaborate with media research teams to strengthen independent validation evidence
Ensure all documented information is accurate and verifiable against source materials
Cross-Functional Coordination & Program Management
Act as liaison among documentation teams, media research, attorneys, and clients
Track client escalations and respond with effective resolutions
Expedite pending work from various teams to ensure the timely delivery of documentation
Provide regular updates on petition status, risks, and opportunities
Address client concerns promptly and work cross-functionally for swift resolutions
Manage multiple petitions simultaneously while maintaining quality standards
Support project managers and team leads in coordinating deliverables and commitments
What You Will Need
Basic Qualifications:
Immigration Law Expertise
Deep understanding of EB-1A criteria, particularly 'original contributions of major significance'
Familiarity with USCIS evaluation standards and RFE prevention strategies
Knowledge of evidentiary requirements for demonstrating field-wide influence
Understanding of the distinction between 'critical role' and 'original contributions'
Writing Excellence
Exceptional legal writing skills with the ability to construct persuasive, evidence-based arguments
Proven ability to translate technical concepts into clear, compelling narratives
Strong attention to detail and commitment to factual accuracy
Experience writing for legal audiences and immigration adjudicators
Technical Aptitude
Ability to quickly understand complex technology concepts and innovations
Experience working with technical documentation, patents, and research papers
Comfort analysing metrics, citations, and quantitative impact data
Capability to assess technical significance and industry impact
Project & Program Management
Proven ability to manage multiple high-stakes projects simultaneously
Experience coordinating across cross-functional teams and stakeholders
Strong organisational and communication skills
Proficiency in project management tools and methodologies
Preferred Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in immigration law, particularly employment-based petitions
Background in technical writing, journalism, or a similar documentation-intensive field
Experience with patent analysis and technology commercialisation evidence
Familiarity with NIW, O-1, or other merit-based visa categories
Previous work with attorneys or law firms
Experience working in startup environments
Track record of managing client relationships and successful petition approvals
