** HSE Principal Specialist

K ’s Sustainable Technology Solutions (STS) group is looking for a HSE Principal Specialist to support the Abadi LNG project, one of the largest projects in Asia.  This project will provide front-end design (FEED) for onshore liquefied natural gas facilities & will have a peak production capacity targets of 9.5 million tons per annum of LNG and 150 million standard cubic feet per day of pipeline gas.  

The Abadi LNG project has been designated a project of national strategic importance by the Indonesian government.

The HSE Principal Specialist will lead, support, & develop the HSE management plans for the Abadi project in alignment with K ’s policies and procedures.  This role will also facilitate the project’s ‘Zero Harm 24/7, Courage to Care’ culture, behavior and engagement activities.
** Responsibilities:
*** Liaise with engineering safety and construction to ensure appropriate HSE leadership, direction and input into project activities and deliverable
* Identify, plan and conduct training as required, including weekly HSE inductions and ‘Zero Harm, Courage to Care’ training
* Prepare employees for visits to the field by providing training and PPE
* Reduce HSSE risk to as low as reasonably practicable (ALARP)
* Comply with national regulatory and statutory requirements
* HSSE input to subcontractor and suppliers’ assessments and approval
* Participate in audits to ensure compliance with K  and project procedures
* Contribute to the management of display screen equipment (UK DSE Regulations or Indonesian equivalent) hazards and risks
* Support management of travel hazards/risks
* Promote personal health program for project team
* Conduct/manage workplace inspections
* Plan/manage weekly toolbox talks
* Lead project emergency response planning
* Manage incident response and investigation
* Support the provision of HSSE input into subcontract and procurement activities
* Keep abreast of the latest HSSE issues including lessons learned, industry initiatives and regulatory requirements

* Required Qualifications:

*** Bachelor’s degree in engineering, industrial safety or HSE related discipline
* 5 - 7 years HSE experience including Oil & Gas Onshore/LNG experience
* Skills demonstrating the capability to run the HSE function on large-scale projects
* Multi-lingual with good understanding of Indonesian and English
* General K3 Expert Certificate (AK3U) or NEBOSH IGC Certificate
* Ability to write and review procedural documents, present information clearly & concisely
* Self-starter, Proactive attitude, Influencing skills with various stakeholders
* Strong written and oral communication and presentation skills
* Strong organizational, analytical and decision-making skills

* Preferred Qualifications:

*** Internal auditor qualification (ISO 14001/ISO 45001)
* Multi-lingual with good understanding of Indonesian and English
* General K3 Expert Certificate (AK3U) or NEBOSH Certificate#
