Cost Engineer

Location: Daerah Khusus Ibukota Jakarta

** Join Our Industrial Team
** Beca is looking to recruit an Intermediate Cost Engineer to provide cost management services within our Industrial team. In this role, you will:
* Collect and analyse data to provide accurate project cost estimates, including materials, equipment, labour, and services
* Develop and analyse budgets, identify cost improvements, and support contract pricing
* Review plans, quantity estimates, and cost profiles, and provide recommendations to project leads
* Support procurement and contract package development alongside the project management team
* Attend project sites as required to gather cost-related data and insights
** About You
** To be successful in this role, you will have:
* A bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Civil/Structural preferred)
* Minimum 5 years’ experience in cost management
* Experience in cost and contract management across capital projects
* Familiarity with construction execution and project lifecycle processes
* Strong understanding of cost estimating methodologies, classifications, and tools
* Experience with direct and indirect field costs, escalation, benchmarking, unit rates, and procurement
* Ability to read and interpret design drawings
* Proficiency in MS Excel and the full MS Office suite
* Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
* Strong interpersonal skills, a team player mindset, and self-motivation
* Certification in Quantity Surveying or Cost Management/Estimation (advantageous)
** Cost Engineer Responsibilities
*** Understand the scope and scale of projects
* Travel to project sites to gather cost-related information
* Collaborate with engineers, contractors, and service providers
* Consult with Beca subject matter experts to improve cost estimation processes
* Review project planning and cost tracking
* Assist in developing cost control budgets
* Prepare cost reports, risk assessments, and related documentation
* Provide active input into procurement and contract strategies
