Research Analyst – Defence

As part of your internship as a Research Analyst – Defence, you will contribute to daily and weekly reports on the most recent defence issues by conducting in-depth research and analysis. You will collaborate with experienced analysts, provide insights for clients, and participate in research projects on defence issues. This role requires a deep understanding and background in the defence sector (including equipment), strong analytical skills, fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesia, attention to detail, and adaptability in a fast-paced environment.

• Interest and expertise in defence matters, with a focus on industry and technical aspects of military equipment
• Educational background in defence is desirable
• Fluency in both English and Bahasa Indonesia
• Micro and macro analysis skills
• Solid understanding of research methodologies and techniques
• Critical thinking, able to think critically and objectively
• High agility and adaptability in a fast-paced working environment, dynamic teams
• A strong understanding of research ethics and the responsibility to conduct research with integrity
• Attention to detail, high level of attention to detail is necessary to ensure accuracy in research findings and to avoid errors in data interpretation
• Knowledge and skills in working with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
• Access to personal laptop/notebook is required
• Ability to work under tight deadlines

• Participate in daily and weekly deliverables on defence issues
• Participate in reports and provide analysis/insights on Indonesian defence industry, cooperation, and doctrine matters
• Participate in research projects
• Provide analysis and key takeaways on current defence issues for our clients
