Logistics Officer

The  Logistics Officer  will be responsible for supervising day-to-day logistics and dispatch operations, ensuring accurate picking, timely delivery creation, statutory documentation, and smooth coordination between warehouse, transporters, and internal teams. The role requires strong execution skills, ERP handling, and on-ground supervision.

Key Responsibilities

1) Dispatch & Order Execution
Oversee  order picking, packing, and labeling  as per sales orders.
Ensure  FIFO/FEFO  adherence during picking and dispatch.
Supervise  delivery creation in ERP (SAP/Tally/Oracle or similar) .
Coordinate timely vehicle placement and dispatch.
2) Documentation & Statutory Compliance
Generate  E-Way Bills  and ensure correctness of values, HSN codes, and vehicle details.
Prepare and verify  invoices, delivery challans, LR, POD  and other dispatch documents.
Ensure compliance with  GST, transport, and statutory regulations .
3) Transportation & Delivery Management
Coordinate with transporters for  primary and secondary deliveries .
Track dispatched vehicles and ensure  on-time delivery (OTD) .
Resolve delivery issues such as delays, shortages, damages, or returns.
4) Warehouse & Inventory Control
Supervise  inward and outward material movement .
Maintain accurate  stock records and inventory reconciliation .
Conduct  cycle counts and physical stock verification .
Ensure proper storage, housekeeping, and material safety.
5) Coordination & Reporting
Coordinate with  Sales, Production, Quality, and Finance  for smooth order processing.
Share daily dispatch reports, pending deliveries, and stock status.
Monitor freight costs and suggest cost-optimization measures.

Qualifications & Experience

Education:

Diploma / Graduate in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related field.

Experience:

3–5 years in  logistics/dispatch operations in a manufacturing setup .
Hands-on experience in  ERP systems and E-Way Bill portal  is mandatory.

Skills & Competencies
Strong knowledge of  picking, dispatch, delivery creation, and e-way bill processes
Working knowledge of  GST, transport documentation, and warehouse operations
Good command over  Excel and ERP systems
Strong coordination, problem-solving, and people-management skills
Ability to work under pressure and meet dispatch timelines
