Civils Estimator

Orion Group are working with a successful and growing Highland-based contractor with a proven track record of delivering high-quality infrastructure projects across the region, to source an experienced Civils Estmator to add to there Inverness based Team.

Key Responsibilities As a Civils Estimator, you will:

Prepare accurate estimates and costings for civil engineering projects (roads, earthworks, water and drainage).
Review tender and technical documentation to ensure competitive and reliable pricing.
Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate rates and gather accurate quotations.
Contribute to tendering strategies, increasing the company’s chances of winning projects.
Provide reports and recommendations to senior management.

Requirements You will be a great fit for this role if you have:

Proven experience in civil estimating.

Experience of pricing earthworks, roads, and infrastructure works etc.
Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documents.
Strong organisational skills, attention to detail and negotiating skilss with the ability to work under pressure.
Advantageous: familiarity with estimating software
