Consultant Clinical Oncologist – Lung, H&N, or Breast Radiotherapy

Employer: NHS Highland (Raigmore Hospital, Inverness)

Salary: £111,430 – £148,064 per annum pro rata

Hours: 10 Pas / 40 hours per week

We provide cancer services to over 300,000 people across approximately 10,000 square miles, including the Highlands, Western Isles and parts of Grampian. Our team of seven consultant oncologists delivers comprehensive care and is supported by a strong clinical trials program.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide specialist oncology care in Lung, Head & Neck or Breast Radiotherapy.
  • Lead outpatient and day‑case services, including SACT units.
  • Collaborate with community, secondary and primary care teams.
  • Participate in remote research, teaching and professional development.
  • Support and mentor junior staff and less experienced colleagues.

Qualifications:

  • Qualified Consultant Clinical Oncologist with relevant specialty training.
  • Experience in Radiotherapy, preferably within Lung, Head & Neck or Breast subspecialty.
  • Strong clinical, teaching and research portfolio desirable.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work within a multidisciplinary team.
