The OpportunityWe're looking for an experienced Rural Surveyor to join a leading consultancy's Land Management team in the north of Scotland. This is a fantastic opportunity to work on major utilities and renewables projects, representing landowners and delivering tailored professional advice. You'll play a key role in negotiating land rights for large-scale infrastructure developments such as transmission lines, solar and wind farms, and battery energy storage systems (BESS).

- Provide expert advice to landowners on land rights for utilities and renewable energy projects.
- Negotiate commercial terms for option agreements leading to lease, sale, or servitude.
- Handle compensation claims following survey and construction works.
- Develop new business opportunities and grow your portfolio while maintaining exceptional service for existing clients.
- Collaborate with other professional advisors (solicitors, accountants) to deliver unified, client-focused solutions.
- Build and maintain a strong network with landowners, developers, and industry professionals.
- Stay up to date with legislation and maintain technical expertise through CPD.
- Significant experience in land management advisory work, ideally within utilities and renewables.
- Strong knowledge of compulsory purchase, wayleaves, compensation, and related legislation.
- Proven track record in negotiating terms and understanding commercial rates.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to manage a varied workload under pressure.
- Full driving licence and own transport.
- Ideally MRICS qualified.
