Paxton Personnel is seeking a
proactive and motivated HSEQ Advisor
to join our client’s team based in Aberdeen. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual passionate about health, safety, environmental and quality standards who wants to make a genuine impact across a diverse range of projects.
As a key member of the HSEQ team, you will help ensure operations comply with legislation, client expectations and industry best practice. You’ll provide vital support to employees and subcontractors, maintaining a safe and compliant working environment while driving continuous improvement across the business.
Key Responsibilities- Provide expert HSEQ advice, support and guidance to site teams and managers.
- Ensure all work activities comply with relevant health, safety, welfare and environmental regulations.
- Contribute to the maintenance and development of the Integrated Management System to maintain ISO certifications.
- Support improvements in HSEQ reporting systems and performance monitoring.
- Promote and embed a positive safety culture across the organisation.
- Complete all HSEQ documentation accurately and within required timescales.
- Lead or assist with investigations into accidents, incidents, ill health and dangerous occurrences, ensuring correct reporting actions are taken.
- Maintain your own competency levels (CPD) and support overall team capability.
- Carry out routine site visits to:
- Verify compliance with company standards and best HSEQ practice.
- Share HSEQ updates and developments across the business.
- Ensure corporate HSEQ campaigns are effectively implemented and site-relevant.
- Identify performance trends and define improvement focus areas.
- Develop HSEQ campaigns and programmes to support operational needs.
- Direct line report to the
HSEQ Manager
- Minimum 3 years’ HSEQ experience with strong knowledge of relevant legislation and best practice.
- Excellent communication and influencing skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively across multiple sites and office locations.
- A proactive, solutions-driven approach with a commitment to continuous improvement.
- NEBOSH General Certificate in Occupational Safety & Health
- Full CPD and IOSH Membership
- ISO Internal Auditor qualification
- Strong IT literacy
- Environmental qualification (e.g., IOSH Managing Environmental Responsibilities)
