Orion Group is sourcing an experienced Civil Estimator for a successful Highland-based contractor to join their Inverness based team.

• Prepare accurate estimates and costings for civil engineering projects (roads, earthworks, water and drainage).
• Review tender and technical documentation to ensure competitive and reliable pricing.
• Liaise with engineers, subcontractors, and suppliers to negotiate rates and gather accurate quotations.
• Contribute to tendering strategies to increase the company’s chances of winning projects.
• Provide reports and recommendations to senior management.

• Proven experience in civil estimating.
• Experience pricing earthworks, roads, and infrastructure works.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and tender documents.
• Strong organisational skills, attention to detail, and negotiating skills with the ability to work under pressure.
• Advantageous: familiarity with estimating software.
• Applicant must have experience estimating projects within the UK.
