The Project Preservation & Completion Manager is responsible for the fulfillment of completion and preservation activities of wind turbine components that are delivered from the GE Supply Chain and GE factories at the Marshalling Harbour. The role involves organising and managing the operational performance of preservation at the Marshalling Harbour, overseeing commissioning completion activities for items that may not conform to contract specifications, and ensuring the components are delivered in a contractually compliant condition to the installation vessel.

Location:

Nigg, Scotland. The position is a permanent role, although rotation (2 weeks on / 2 weeks off) could be considered. Onboarding training will be conducted with the Able Seaton site team, and regular travel to Able Seaton Port will be required.

• Responsible for all completion and preservation activities related to construction and commissioning on site, including mobilisation, erection, and commissioning work.
• Develops and implements the preservation and completion plans and strategies in collaboration with the Preservation and Completions leader, GSC, Quality department, and Sourcing department.
• Manages and plans all preservation personnel requirements and operational performance activities related to testing and validation of instrumentation components and control systems.
• Oversees skills management of team members related to EHS, awareness, and performance.
• Manages preservation and completion subcontractors.
• Participates in daily toolbox talks, organizes and leads weekly coordination meetings for preservation and completion activities.
• Manages the handover of equipment (nacelles, towers, blades) during various project phases.
• Reviews and approves supplier invoices.
• Responsible for the project preservation budget.
• Tracks preservation and completion activities KPIs and reports to the client.
• Participates in lessons learned and continuous improvement activities.
• Delivers progress reporting to the management team, escalating potential roadblocks and risks.
• Uses judgment and proposes solutions outside of set parameters with guidance.
• Provides informal guidance to new team members.

• Degree or Diploma in Electrical/Electronic Engineering or equivalent experience/knowledge.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical systems, with strong wind turbine experience.
• Advanced experience in project management and commissioning; comparable to a Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma with relevant experience).

• Strong oral and written communication skills; ability to analyse and resolve problems.
• Ability to document, plan, and execute programs; established project management skills.
• Education and training in electricity or electronics.
• Experience in offshore wind industry, particularly in power conversion systems.
• Ability to work from procedures, as-built drawings, and system schematics.
• High degree of EHS and quality awareness.
• High flexibility, motivation, and capability to work under pressure.
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Office.
• Fluent English, spoken and written.
