Doggerbank.

This vacancy will be based at our new Marshalling Harbour site at Port Nigg. Your introduction will be spending some time in Able Seaton to understand site workings and then look to open the site in Port Nigg.

The EHS (Environment, Health, Safety) Service Lead will provide leadership and direction in all EHS‑related questions on site. In this position you will be a key function in the preparation and realization of the O&M works (corrective, preventive and retrofit) by applying and controlling the Customer, Local and GE Vernova EHS requirements. This includes coordinating with your Site Management Team on the SOV and other support functions.

Driving operational excellence and safety is the key priority for this role.

Responsibilities
  • Cultivate an exceptional EHS culture in the wind farm.
  • Provide leadership and engagement to embed a culture of continuous improvement with respect to EHS, acting as the site focus for compliance with relevant health, safety, environmental legislation.
  • Embed the above systems into general use and ensure training and development of staff is provided in their use and general awareness.
  • Responsible for monitoring the site’s EHS performance, identifying and taking proactive measures to improve performance shortfalls.
  • Identify, monitor and review the site’s KPI’s for EHS performance.
  • Provide EHS guidance and support to the site teams as required, including assisting or leading with incident investigations to ensure root cause is identified and embed all learning within the daily work executions.
  • Responsible for ensuring detailed incident reports are produced for all health, safety, environmental and quality incidents.
  • Review third‑party EHS competences prior to engaging in the supply of services.
  • Ownership, management and development of the site’s incident management system.
  • Responsible for the development and management of the site’s EHS audit process.
  • Liaise with client and off‑site legislative bodies and provide reports as required concerning key metrics such as safety statistics, environmental performance and incident reporting.
  • Drive constantly PAC and Safer cases opened to lead to a safe workable environment & atmosphere at site.
  • Support to apply the marine coordination requirements & review their processes.
  • Participate in process improvement initiatives and provide feedback on lessons learned to your Site Management Team.
  • Perform regular emergency drills and exercises on site.
  • Support in coordination with the operations teams the review of the provided executions documentation such as: maintenance field instructions (MFI), methods statement, risk assessments and the creation of last‑minute risk assessments (LMRA).
  • Supports the review of customized concepts and processes as well as risk assessments in accordance with the Safety at Work Act, industrial safety ordinance and other requirements to ensure legal compliance provided by the onshore back office.
  • Checking of safety data sheets and the preparation of hazardous materials registers is also part of the work of the QHSE.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited university or college in Engineering or a related EHS/quality field; alternatively a professional education/apprenticeship in a safety or quality related discipline with professional experience.
  • Demonstrated professional experience and deep domain expertise in environment, health and safety.
  • Proven ability to work in a cross‑functional and global environment, remote teams, strong team player.
  • Proven offshore wind experience or experience in a related discipline.
  • High motivation level; self‑starter with leadership and communication skills.
  • Proven oral and written communication skills in English.
  • Interpersonal and leadership skills.
