. Based in Scotland (Perth, Inverness, Aberdeen or Glasgow), the role offers a salary between £50,100 and £75,100, a car or car allowance, performance‑related bonus and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.

The position is permanent, full‑time with flexible first options available. You will work within the Project Engineering team to support subsea HVAC and HVDC cable projects, helping SSEN Transmission achieve Net Zero.

• Apply design & engineering governance throughout each project phase and support “Gate” assurance reviews.
• Support project FEED by preparing technical work scope and specifications for specialist surveys, studies and supervision.
• Prepare technical scope and specifications for subsea engineering activity and deliverables for ECC contracts.
• Review and accept contractors’ engineering & design deliverables, balancing technical risk/benefit to make confident design decisions.
• Promote safe design & construction and discharge CDM duties as part of SSEN Transmission’s Designer/Principal Designer team.

• BEng or equivalent in a relevant engineering discipline.
• Experience in a similar offshore role, preferably with time spent offshore.
• Working knowledge of industry codes, standards, specifications and safe working practices.
• Willingness to mobilise offshore to supervise critical installation works in compliance with company requirements.
• Excellent communication, time‑management and organisational skills.
