About Us

W M Donald Ltd are looking for a reliable Plant Coordinator.

The successful candidate will be responsible to successfully deliver an efficient and cost-effective plant and equipment administration system. Ensure that company and hired in plant, and equipment operated by employees and sub-contractors complies with legislation and client specification / requirements. Ensure compliance of employees and sub-contractors company plant, equipment. To ensure compliance with the Company Standards of Service and quality systems and to meet the requirements of the company business plan(s).

Key Responsibilities
  • Taking calls from site for Plant requirements and assist in any queries relating to lead times.
  • Raising and placing of plant orders.
  • The efficient, effective, control and monitoring, via accurate computerised records using NAV, of:
  • All company and hired small plant and specialised equipment to ensure:
  • Traceability
  • Serviceability
  • Ensuring Health and Safety Policies relating to plant equipment are relevant and up to date.
  • Ensuring that plant and equipment comply with current legislation and good practice.
  • Develop, arrange and maintain systems of work to support the company’s operations.
  • Assist in the setting up and maintaining of a servicing programme for plant and equipment.
  • Ensure any plant or equipment that is issued is to be either fully serviceable, or its limitations are notified to the end user.
  • To ensure that equipment that has an expired calibration or PAT date is not used to perform tasks.
  • Attend site where necessary to undertake duties.
  • Assist in controlling site Plant levels and process monthly plant sheet.
  • Assist in the daily planning of lorry and vehicle assignments in collaboration with Contract Managers to optimise fleet utilisation.
  • Assist in the ordering and maintaining stock levels of spare and consumable parts.
  • Liaising with other Managers to ensure sufficient plant and equipment is available for company use; surplus hired plant is to be immediately returned.
Qualifications & Experience
  • CSCS Card
  • Full UK Driving Licence
  • General IT literacy including Microsoft & Excel
