We are seeking a skilled Mechanical Technician to join our team, where you will play a key role in the safe and accurate assembly and testing of new K‑Winch products, including wireline winches, wireline masts, and related accessories. You will ensure high‑quality standards are consistently achieved while supporting continuous improvement initiatives and problem‑solving activities. This role requires hands‑on technical ability, attention to detail, and a strong focus on safety and teamwork.
Key Responsibilities- Assemble and test K‑Winch products to a high standard of quality.
- Read, interpret, and follow blueprints, engineering drawings, specifications, and bills of materials.
- Manufacture and maintain cleanliness of hydraulic systems in line with design requirements.
- Ensure compliance with safety initiatives, risk assessments, and company procedures, reporting any hazards immediately.
- Support team members, share knowledge, and contribute to achieving operational goals such as on‑time delivery and cost of quality.
- Maintain a safe, clean, and organised work area in accordance with 5S and LEAN principles.
- Identify, generate, and implement improvement ideas to enhance efficiency and product quality.
- Participate in daily team briefings, offering input on challenges and solutions.
- Support the introduction of new techniques, products, and equipment.
- Report issues via the engineering support system to drive design and process improvements.
- Work overtime when required to meet operational demands.
- Carry out other reasonable duties as directed by your line manager.
- Proven experience in mechanical assembly or a related role in a manufacturing/engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, diagrams, and specifications.
- Competency in the safe use of hand tools, including tube bending equipment.
- Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and cleanliness requirements.
- Commitment to working safely, following procedures, and maintaining product quality.
- Experience with LEAN manufacturing or 5S principles.
- Familiarity with continuous improvement initiatives in a production environment.
- Knowledge of inspection and FAT criteria within mechanical assembly.
