Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an NRSWA Supervisor located in Ipswich and surrounding areas. In this role, the NRSWA Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing utility and highway projects, ensuring compliance with NRSWA guidelines and safety standards. Responsibilities include monitoring roadworks, coordinating with team members, managing permits, ensuring adherence to project timelines, and resolving any on-site issues. Effective communication with clients, local authorities, and contractors is critical to ensuring smooth project operations and regulatory compliance.
Key Responsibilities- Supervise utilities and highways works in line with NRSWA legislation
- Ensure compliance with permits, traffic management, and SLG requirements
- Carry out regular site inspections, audits, and toolbox talks
- Oversee excavation, backfill, and reinstatement works to the required standards
- Liaise with local authorities, utility providers, and clients
- Ensure all health & safety documentation is in place and adhered to
- Maintain accurate records, reports, and site documentation
- Support and mentor operatives to maintain high standards of workmanship
- SSSTS or (SMSTS Desirable)
- Proven experience within utilities and highways street works
- Strong working knowledge of permit schemes, SLG, and reinstatement specifications
- Valid UK driving licence
- Strong communication, organisational, and leadership skills
- First Aid at Work
- TWS – Temporary Works Supervisor
- Experience working with HV/LV Installations
