Interim Management Accountant

They are seeking a Management Accountant to take ownership of delivering high-quality management information, driving financial insight, and supporting operational decision-making across the organisation.

• Produce timely and accurate monthly management accounts, including variance analysis, accruals, prepayments, and insightful commentary.
• Partner with operational teams to provide commercial insight, support cost control, and inform decision-making.
• Prepare budgets and forecasts, ensuring robust assumptions and clear financial modelling.
• Maintain strong balance sheet controls, reconciliations, and oversight of financial processes.
• Support cashflow forecasting, working capital management, and scenario planning.
• Identify opportunities to streamline processes, improve reporting quality, and strengthen financial understanding across the business.

• Proven experience within a management accounting or commercial finance role, ideally within an SME environment.
• Strong Excel and financial modelling skills, with the ability to analyse data and present findings clearly.
• A solid understanding of budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and financial controls.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills, with the ability to explain financial information to non‑finance colleagues.
• High attention to detail and strong organisational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced setting.
• Part‑qualified, fully qualified, or QBE candidates will all be considered.
