About the Role

Two Rivers Medical Centre has an exciting opportunity for a hardworking, enthusiastic and innovative pharmacy technician to join our team. This role is offered on a part-time basis for 22.5 hours per week. This position is offered on a 12 month fixed term contract to cover maternity leave.

The successful candidate will benefit from this opportunity to build up strong working relationships, across our organisation, and will be actively involved in how their role evolves over time.

Responsibilities

The main responsibilities of the role include:

  • Managing patient prescriptions
  • Supporting medication reviews and reconciliations
  • Advising patients and healthcare professionals on medication-related queries
  • Developing our prescribing systems to ensure safe, effective and efficient
  • Supporting the reception and administration teams with complex medication queries
  • Supporting the GP partners on prescribing projects and cost/safety audits actions
  • Minimizing medication wastage
About the Candidate

The successful candidate will have the following experience and qualifications:

  • Registered pharmacy technician with the GPhC
  • Diploma Level 3 in pharmacy services, or equivalent
  • Strong experience in either a community pharmacy or a primary care setting
