Company Overview

Join a forward‑thinking organisation within the healthcare sector, committed to delivering innovative technology solutions that improve patient experiences and streamline clinical processes. You’ll be part of a collaborative environment where technology drives meaningful change.

Role Overview

My client is seeking a Development Team Lead to manage and mentor a team of skilled developers, ensuring efficient delivery of projects and continuous improvement of processes. This is a leadership‑focused role, ideal for someone passionate about team management, Dev Ops implementation, and creating structured development practices. While technical knowledge is a bonus, hands‑on coding will not be a large part of this role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead, mentor, and manage a team of 4 developers (2 Senior Developers, 2 Full Stack Developers).
  • Implement Dev Ops tools and practices, transitioning from Jira to Azure Dev Ops.
  • Create and document development lifecycle processes and team workflows.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business needs and align development priorities.
  • Oversee workload management, project planning, and delivery of high‑quality solutions.
  • Facilitate stand‑ups, team meetings, and promote best practices.
  • Build strong relationships with IT Support, Cyber Security, and Data teams.
Requirements
  • Proven experience in line managing software development teams and leading Agile practices.
  • Strong organisational and communication skills and a calm and methodical approach to leadership.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and engage effectively with stakeholders.
  • Experience with project management tools (Jira, Azure Dev Ops).
  • Knowledge of Dev Ops principles and CI/CD (desirable).
  • Hybrid working (remote considered for exceptional candidates).
  • Opportunities for progression within the wider technology division.
  • Work on impactful projects such as healthcare integrations, patient booking interfaces, and digital assessment tools.
