Main duties of the jobAs a Pre-Assessment Staff Nurse, you will:
- Be part of a close‑knit team delivering matron‑led care in a consultant‑led service.
- Act as the first point of contact and collaborate with leading talent and professionals to make the right assessments for patients prior to their surgery.
- Demonstrate a broad knowledge base and assessment skills to ensure patient care.
- Fully understand and support the needs of each patient and their family.
- Offer comfort and reassurance, providing the highest standards of care.
- Build your experience across new practices, equipment and facilities.
- Work with practitioners in other areas, ensuring continuity in patient care.

The hospital has two laminar flow operating theatres and two minor treatment rooms in the outpatient department, a small radiology department and mobile CT/MRI services. Inpatient physiotherapy is provided within the hospital, while outpatients attend the fitness and wellbeing centre at Chichester Gate for follow‑up physio and hydrotherapy treatments.
