Are you passionate about making a difference in the lives of children and young people with continence needs? Suffolk County Council is seeking a dedicated Support Worker to join our Enuresis Service team. If you have recent experience supporting children and young people with Enuresis and complex continence issues and you’re looking for a rewarding role where you can have a real impact across Suffolk this could be the opportunity for you.
Working closely with families you’ll help implement evidence-based care plans, promote independence and support continence management for children aged 5-18 throughout the county (excluding Lowestoft and Waveney).
As a Support Worker in the Enuresis Service you will play a vital role in improving continence outcomes for children and young people across Suffolk. Your responsibilities will include:
- Delivering assessments and reviews for children receiving continence products ensuring their needs are met effectively.
- Supporting the coordination of paediatric product provision and responding to continence-related queries from Children and Young People services.
- Providing mandatory continence training across Suffolk.
- Promoting prevention, early intervention and positive behaviour change through solution-focused approaches.
- Managing and prioritising your own caseload, formulating and reviewing individual care plans and developing resources to support their implementation.
- Supporting families to implement care pathways in line with clinical governance frameworks.
- Safeguarding children and young people through effective multi-agency working, including participation in safeguarding meetings and contributing to assessment processes.
This role focuses on health promotion, early identification of needs and achieving the best possible outcomes for children and young people. You’ll work closely with families to encourage behavioural changes that lead to healthier lifestyles applying solution-focused approaches to bring about meaningful improvements.
You will need- A relevant Level 3 qualification or equivalent experience.
- Experience working with children and young people with Enuresis and other continence needs.
- Evidence of continued professional development.
- A genuine passion for learning and improving outcomes for children.
