Merck Life Science is hiring a Manufacturing Operative for a 4 on 4 off shift pattern, offering a permanent role in a highly regulated, aseptic environment.

Your Role

You will have an integral role in ensuring a positive difference is made to millions of people’s lives through overseeing Liquid Media Production, performing aseptic dispensing in a cleanroom environment, and carrying out assigned tasks across the Liquid Media Production area. This permanent position operates on a 4 on 4 off shift pattern consisting of 2 days/2 nights, working 12‑hour shifts of 7‑7.

Accountabilities
  • Ensure the production facility is in a clean and audit‑ready state.
  • Complete all documentation in accordance with current Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
  • Use SAP for completion of electronic batch documentation.
  • Verify clean rooms are within specification prior to use.
  • Verify scales are in specification prior to use using appropriate check weights.
  • Complete clean‑room validations prior to expiry of validated period and maintain uninterrupted validation throughout the year.
Who You Are
  • Degree qualified in a Biological or Chemical science or have previous experience in a manufacturing/production environment.
  • Possess effective numeracy and literacy skills and are well‑versed in ensuring accurate work is always maintained.
  • Experience in a GMP environment is desirable.
  • Previous experience with aseptic technique in cleanroom environment.
  • Previous systems experience is desirable; direct experience of using SAP is advantageous.
