Due to maternity leave, we are excited to invite applications for a part time Band 7 (12 month FTC) Perinatal Pelvic Health Physiotherapist based at West Middlesex University Hospital.

Main duties of the job

This is a post for an experienced physiotherapist who has extensive experience and clinical knowledge of perinatal pelvic health. This post aims to improve the prevention, identification and access to National Institute for Health and Care Excellence recommended treatment for pelvic health problems antenatally, and for up to 12 months postnatally.

Job responsibilities
  • To work as a Specialist Pelvic Health Physiotherapist, offering clinical support on WM side for obstetrics and postnatal patients in line with NHS England's service specification for perinatal pelvic health services.
  • To work with maternity and other perinatal services to improve the prevention, identification and access to NICE recommended treatment for pelvic health problems antenatally, and for up to 12 months postnatally.
  • To work collaboratively with the trusts across North West London in providing care.
  • There may be opportunity to educate, train and develop physiotherapy staff and undergraduates in this specialty and to provide assurance of competency; and train other health professionals in aspects of pelvic health care.
  • To provide expert clinical advice and guidance on a range of matters relating to pelvic health.
