Flood Construction Coordinator
We are seeking a dynamic and detail‑oriented Flood Construction Coordinator to lead and manage flood‑related construction projects. This vital role involves coordinating volunteer teams and contractors, ensuring project timelines are met, and maintaining rigorous standards of safety, quality, and efficiency. The ideal candidate will possess strong construction management skills, experience with project scheduling, problem‑solving abilities, and excellent communication skills.
Key Duties
Oversee the planning, scheduling, and execution of flood‑related construction projects.
Coordinate with contractors, volunteers, and project teams to develop accurate estimates and streamline workflow.
Serve as the primary point of contact for clients (homeowners), ensuring clear communication and support.
Manage project documentation, including contracts, change orders, invoices, and funder requirements, to maximize resources.
Conduct site inspections as needed, attend meetings with the LTRG, and collaborate with team members to track progress and expenses.
Facilitate communication among stakeholders through regular meetings, progress reports, and updates to ensure alignment on project goals.
Assist in resolving issues related to project scope, delays, or resource allocation by applying strong time management and problem‑solving skills.
Qualifications
Proven experience in construction and project management.
Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Air Table.
Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively under tight deadlines.
Demonstrated ability to coordinate multiple teams across projects while maintaining clear communication channels.
Physical Requirements
Ability to bend, stoop, kneel, and reach as needed during site inspections and project activities.
Must be able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs.
Comfortable working in outdoor environments and navigating uneven terrain.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods during site visits.
