This position reports to the VP Harvesting Platform Engineering and will serve in a team of engineers responsible for Combines development at AGCO s Breganze (Italy) Site and across all Combine Harvester sites. The person will lead and be globally responsible for platform development with the technical team and cross-functional teams (Manufacturing, Purchasing, Quality, etc.).
The job holder leads and coordinates global module teams, requiring strong leadership skills and the ability to manage in a matrix organization, following and monitoring the development activity. Leadership skills are required for this position, leading the engineering team delivering new features and solving problems. Strong influence on the strategic roadmap of product developments and is a key interface between the involved functions.
Furthermore, the necessary competence for solving unanticipated and critical problems generates added value for the whole organization. The Platform Lead Engineer position requires strong project management skills as he is accountable for the NPI activities and responsible for achieving the QCT target. Teamwork skills are required as the employee will be working in teams internal at the site and across other AGCO sites.
Your Impact:
Leads/coordinates and owns platform development activities, drives module-specific innovation, ensures best cost together with Purchasing and Manufacturing counterparts
Responsible to deliver NPI projects at defined Quality targets and Product Maintenance; strong skills in working with one or more ERP systems (i.e. SAP, BAAN, JDE) and strong technical knowledge
Project planning according to AGCO s AMPIP procedures and collaboration across to other AGCO sites for all functions involved in the AMPIP process; participate in meetings for planning, idea generation, design review, future optimization with respect to cost, performance, weight and durability
Definition of project objectives and key collaboration within the strategic engineering roadmap; managing comprehensive project requirements and solving unanticipated and complex problems
Maintaining development cost budgets and time schedules, ensuring defined product cost; define and monitor project budget evolution; achievement of project objectives / working off the projects / quality / innovation objectives; interest in innovative technologies; highly motivated to solve problems; ability to work in a team; strong assertiveness and resilience

Bachelor s degree in mechanical or Agricultural Engineering
+5 years of professional experience
Excellent English language and writing ability, excellent people and leadership skills
Proficiency in Creo, MS Office, etc.
Travel required 25%
