Quality Assurance Engineer - Freelance

Location: Via Milano

We are selecting a team of freelance QA Engineers for a leading International Retail Group (GDO). The project involves end-to-end testing activities for critical business domains (Supply Chain, E-commerce, Product Referencing). You will join a dynamic team responsible for ensuring high-quality software releases through rigorous testing and defect management.
Responsibilities

Design test cases to cover ST, SIT, E2E, and UAT levels based on functional requirements.
Maintain and optimize regression suites to ensure 80% coverage of main business capabilities.
Organize test plans, executions, and repositories strictly using Jira and Xray.
Detect, track, and retest bugs.
Coordinate with developers and stakeholders for bug triage and resolution.
Provide daily reports on test execution progress and risk analysis to the QA Lead.
Support the internal QA Lead in test strategy definition and junior team coordination.

Requirements

Tools :
Proficient knowledge of Jira and specifically the Xray testing app is a must.
Language :
Professional English (B2 / C1) is mandatory for documentation and international coordination. Italian is required for local interactions.
Methodologies :

Experience with User Journeys, Gherkin syntax, and structured Test Design techniques.
Availability :
Must be available to work On-Site (at client premises in Milan / Rozzano) for at least 75% of the week.

Nice to have

Previous experience in the Retail / GDO or Logistics / E-commerce sectors.
Experience in fast-paced, Agile environments.
