Job Description Summary
The Supply Chain Distribution Expert coordinates and schedules the order processing for drug shipments working as the point of contact with supply chain and quality stakeholders on logistic timelines of drug shipments.
Job Description
Major accountabilities:
Provides cross-functional coordination in the scheduling of tasks around the manufacturing and logistics of individual orders placed for European orders including orders associated with Early Access programs and Compassionate Use Programs and ERP needs (e.g. SAP goods receipt).
Coordination between quality supply chain and commercial and be the key contact for any questions around logistics with specific orders.
Tracks and reviews orders and GPS monitors/temperature loggers for any deviations and elevate when necessary.
Partners with Manufacturing Quality Supply Chain Warehouse and 3rd party logistics providers around shipment.
Schedules 3rd party logistics services to ensure shipment of orders meets the required timelines (accounting for international customs requirements).
Handles and supports controlled documents change records and deviations investigations for European logistics transactions/processes.
Supports ROW orders and scheduling within departments if required.
Meets Quality System requirements for pertinent area of management.
Tracks each shipment throughout life cycle.
Supports Launch team activities including the development of logistics processes for new locations.
Essential requirements:
Scientific degree or engineering degree with focus on supply chain/logistics.
Previous experience in a similar role within the Life Science industry.
Fluent in English.
Detail-oriented and high sense of responsibility.
