Location:

Collecchio (Parma), Italy
Travelling:  15% in Europe

The new state‑of‑the‑art facility will feature the latest technologies for powder flavors, including dried products and blends and the production of reaction flavors. With automated packaging lines and a modern warehouse, sampling, QC lab, and expansion capacity to ship, the site will be a state‑of‑the‑art place to help fulfil the ambition of Taste, Texture & Health of dsm‑firmenich. To bring this vision to life, we’re seeking an experienced Product Industrialization Engineer to join our Industrialization Team in the Taste division – the vital link between innovation and production. This team ensures every new flavour formula is seamlessly and efficiently manufactured across our global network. By validating processes and guaranteeing compliance, they transform creative ideas into scalable products that delight customers worldwide.

In this role, you’ll lead product industrialisation and process optimisation for flavour products, building manufacturing expertise in flavour delivery technologies at our new site in Collecchio, Italy.

Key Responsibilities

Drive product development from recipe review through pilot trials to first production batch, using both new and existing technologies and create corresponding manufacturing instructions.

Act as a technical expert aligning process capability for large scale execution, enabling introduction of new technologies, supporting and leading site‑level initiatives and driving process improvements.

Support post‑launch reviews to ensure continuous improvement.

Collaborate with creators to optimise formulations to achieve “design for manufacturing” purpose.

Train manufacturing operators for successful product launches.

Share best practices and actively contribute to regional initiatives.

YOU BRING

Master’s or Bachelor’s degree in Chemistry, Food Science, or equivalent expertise gained through experience in a complex, fast‑paced environment.

Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in a manufacturing environment within the food ingredients (flavours) industry – this is a must.

Solid knowledge of manufacturing practices, process safety analysis, and job safety analysis.

SAP knowledge is a plus, as well as certification in Six Sigma or experience with Lean methodology.

Strong project management skills with proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Continuous improvement mindset; skilled at analysing and solving problems while fostering collaboration.

Autonomous and rigorous team player, with strong communication skills to interact across all levels of the organisation, share information effectively, and deliver impactful presentations.

Fluency in English and Italian, both written and spoken.
