Italy Food Mandatory Certification Operations Auditor

Location: Casalnuovo di Napoli

RINA is currently recruiting for a Italy Food Mandatory Certification Operations Auditor to join its office in Naples, Italy within the Mediterranean & Africa Certification Division.
Mission  The resource will be responsible for the management and control of medium-large supply chains operating on the food PDO PGI scheme and in particular on the dairy sector. Among the main ones, inspection activities, review of practices, resolution activities, interfaces with consortia, trade associations, and industry operators, as well as coordination of inspection staff, stand out.
Key Accountabilities   Document Review
Check customer management system documents, including manuals, procedures, instructions, files, records, and technical documents, to ensure compliance with standards and regulations.
Audit Participation
Participate in and conduct audits, which involves conducting interviews, taking comprehensive notes, and evaluating the implementation of management systems.
Audit Result Definition
Identify and define audit results (Positive and negative findings as non conformities, opportunity of improvement).
Technical Review
Carry out a technical review of audit files, providing insights and recommendations for certification decisions.
Skill Maintenance
Keep skills, qualifications, and certifications up to date by staying informed about industry standards, regulations, and best practices.
Data Management
Maintain updated records of customer data and other information relevant to the audit process.
Customer Focus
Demonstrate a strong customer focus by understanding and responding to customer requests and needs. Strive for high customer satisfaction by ensuring the quality and effectiveness of audit activities.
Qualifications   Basic understanding of auditing principles and standards (e.g., ISO 9001, ISO 14001, etc.). Knowledge of PDO PGI STG product regulations
Knowledge of sector regulations (dairy and livestock farming)
Second or third party inspection verification activities dairy sector (farms, dairies, etc)
Good communication skills to conduct interviews and report findings.
Willingness to learn and develop expertise in audit techniques and certification requirements.
Proficiency in MS Office and basic knowledge of audit management software.
Adaptability and eagerness to gain industry-specific knowledge.
Education  Bachelor’s Degree High School Diploma / GED in Agriculture / Agronomy / Food Technology or Food Farming
