Company’s core business is the management of automotive administrative procedures for commercial clients such as leading car manufacturers, car rental companies, and dealerships.
Since 2023, the company has been part of a German group, which is the largest provider of vehicle registration and related services in Germany, which is currently expanding its services across Europe

Role Overview
We are seeking a talented and experienced Senior Software Developer with deep expertise in PHP and Amazon Web Services (AWS) to join our growing development team in Rome. You will be instrumental in leading the migration and digitalization of core legacy systems into scalable, cloud-based environments. Responsibilities

Understand and maintain the existing codebase to ensure system continuity
Support future development and enhancements of the system
Migrate the system from a 3rd party AWS infrastructure to a newly established AWS environment within their organization
Develop and maintain high-quality PHP codebases that support key business functions
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and implement scalable cloud solutions
Ensure system security, reliability, and performance throughout the development lifecycle
Actively contribute to the digitalization strategy across platforms and services
Provide technical mentorship to junior developers and promote best practices
Participate in architectural decisions and roadmap planning

Qualifications

Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in PHP development
Proven experience with AWS services and cloud-native architectures
Solid understanding of modern software development practices (CI / CD, containerization, microservices)

Experience with database management systems (MySQL, Postgre

SQL, etc.)
Familiarity with Agile methodologies and version control (Git)
Strong problem-solving skills and a proactive mindset
Fluent in Italian (English is a plus)
