You will conduct routine patrols, maintain a visible presence to help deter incidents, monitor access points, and provide professional customer service and communication.

** What You'll Do:*
* + Provide customer service to employees, contractors, visitors, and utility operations personnel by carrying out site-specific security-related procedures and emergency response activities as appropriate.

+ Conduct regular and random armed patrols of utility facilities, substations, access points, parking areas, and perimeter areas, reporting unusual conditions and potential hazards.

+ Monitor access to restricted operational areas, verify credentials as required, and maintain accurate visitor, vehicle, and incident documentation.

+ Respond to incidents, alarms, and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, coordinating with site contacts and emergency responders when needed.

+ Help to deter unauthorized access, theft, vandalism, and other security-related concerns through a professional armed presence and adherence to applicable post orders.

* Minimum Requirements:

*
* + Possess at least one year of armed security-related, law enforcement, or military experience.

+ An armed guard card or license is preferred.

+ Access control and badge experience is preferred.

+ Customer service experience is preferred.

+ Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.

+ Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.

+ Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.

+ Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.

+ As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.

+ Participate in industry-specific security training programs.

+ Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.

+ A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
