Consultant Pediatrician

Overview

Contribution to the daytime weekly attending rota and covering clinic. Clinic will be both by appointment and emergency walk-ins.

• The post holder will have full time commitment to Pediatric medicine.
• Contribution to the daytime weekly attending rota and covering clinic. clinic will be both by appointment and emergency walk-ins.
• The consultant will be expected to attend critical clinical situations if they arise during their duties.
• Day to day decisions about the clinical management of children in the clinic attending.
• Out of hours responsibilities as outlined above
• Provision of cover for Consultant colleagues during periods of leave or approved absence.
• Requirement to participate in medical audit, continuing medical education and hospital approved research.
• Delegated Managerial responsibilities where appropriate.
• Additional duties include joint responsibility for guideline development, counselling and attendance at departmental meetings
