Planning Engineer

CBS is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Planning Engineer to join our esteemed team. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining project schedules to ensure timely completion of projects. You will work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to assess project requirements and allocate resources effectively. Your expertise will be crucial in monitoring project progress, identifying potential delays, and preparing the necessary reports to communicate status updates.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in project planning and management, excellent analytical skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.

• Develop and maintain project schedules using scheduling software and techniques
• Analyze project requirements and assess resource availability and allocation
• Monitor project progress and performance, identifying any potential deviations from the schedule
• Prepare and present regular reports on project status, including updates on timelines and deliverables
• Collaborate with project teams to gather information and resolve scheduling conflicts
• Conduct risk assessments and provide recommendations to mitigate potential schedule delays
• Ensure that all planning activities comply with company policies and industry regulations

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Project Management, or a related field
• A minimum of 7 years of experience in project planning or scheduling
• Proficient in project scheduling software such as Primavera P6, Microsoft Project, or similar applications
• Strong understanding of project management principles and practices
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills
• Certification in project management (e.g., PMP) is a plus
